True Happiness & Self- Kindness
Selfishness vs. Self- Kindness?
Selfishness never serves the selfish person, but self- kindness in the truth,
serves both the individual and the Greater Good.
Self kindness considers and serves the bigger picture—that is that
we are all connected and this must be considered in the mix of everything.
Especially in this day and age, as the world goes,so goes each one of us...
> As our world is often not so truthful,
so we may need help to develop this truthful view of things...
The Way of true Self- Kindness is also the way of truthfulness and the Truthful Heart...

The problem with selfishness isn’t having the primary concern with our own well-being. That well- being is our responsibility and is given to no one else. They say you need to put your own oxygen mask on first before you can help someone else with theirs!
Selfishness becomes destructive when we're so concerned about ourselves that we ignore the needs of others and the group. That is a selfishness based on ignorance, and because we are all so inter-connected, ignoring others’ needs eventually boomerangs back on us—
that is, it never will truly serve one’s own well-being.
Self- Kindness considers the bigger picture and connects to Love...
In the end result, the selfish characteristics and behaviors do not advance the selfish person’s well-being after all. They may appear to do so in the short term, but that is clearly not so in the long run.
A person who doesn’t express interest in those around him will find it hard to build lasting or healthy relationships. People avoid those who are not considerate, and do not give their trust or business to such a person for long. So again we see that selfishness does not truly advance the selfish person.
