SUCCESSFUL SELF DIRECTION uses the material world is as a learning- place for exploring spiritual realities, that is, those things we cannot see, such as love, inspiration, creativity, virtues and the like.
It is ideal for those who want the serenity and benefits of a spiritual life but may have challenges with concepts of God or religion. The terminology of religion is superfluous in SSD, as it is not necessary in discussion of the verities pursued.
In SSD, we use what we can see to learn about what we cannot concretely see, that is, the realities that underlie the whole. When we practice acting from our “higher nature”—the “over- all” view or bigger picture, we are rewarded with peace and comfort. When we act from our “lower” or animal wants and needs, our “conscience” often becomes disturbed. Repeated actions taken out of the lower or higher natures often reverberate within us, causing feelings of low or elevated self esteem depending on our choices. How can we learn to see and make the better choices, and find the strength to act on them? You will find the answers as you progress through the course and teachings of the S.S.D. program.

This is a 12- 16 week guided course. Coaching is included and the course is tailored to your own individual knowledge, needs and time constraints. This journey is best taken with a friend at reduced rates or sliding scale.
The course can be done via telephone or skype. Current costs to students, including coaching and materials is in flux as the program is now undergoing some changes. We are seeking students who may have interest in working to further develop the course outreach and materials. (see below)*
